# 2. Multiply using Pictures

**Multiply using Pictures Worksheet** focuses on multiplication in a way to determine the total number of objects, when there a specified number of equal groups. Students use objects arranged in groups or arrays to multiply. For example, if there 3 groups of 4 (3 x 4), students will either count 13 objects or add repeatedly (4 + 4 + 4) to obtain the result. Once they understand multiplication and the scenarios in which it is used, they can move on to practice multiplication facts for 3 digit numbers.
