In mathematics, the number 4 represents a quantity or value of 4.

The whole number between 3 and 5 is 4. The number name of 4 is four.

Children can be asked to observe or count things around them that are four in number.

Instead of handing out number worksheets to your child, you can ask them how many tires a car has, the number of legs a dog has, or the number of seasons through a year.

You can also discuss how two of a pair make four. Ask your child to pick two of their favorite pair of shoes.
